You are such a lovely person! Thank you for this great metaphor satire. It is actually quite terrifying at this point, just like many "stories" that have been told in the past few years. I think there were big bad wolves around when some ancient stone buildings were melted and turned into glass, and that all could be a possibility of why there are so many underground cities from the ancient past.
